before my setup now i was running a single DC Audio XL 18" on a T2500BDCP @ 2 ohm. before that i had a AQ HDC3 18" powered by a AQ2200D @ .5ohm
the XL sounded cleaner and got lower and had a better overall frequency responce.

i have no personal experiance with AA but i havent heard anything bad about them.

Ricky, which amp did you like better, the RF or AQ? What electrical upgrades did you do? I'm thinking about upgrading my RF p1000 to a 1500bdcp. It's just pushing one 12" havoc so the 1000 muggy be plenty. If I can get away with just a Big 3 and maybe a second battery or just a higher output battery, I'll probably do it. I really don't want to spend the money on an alternator.

The RF Honestly shit on the AQ...i had the AQ wired down to .5 ohm and when i got the RF i wired up to 2 ohm and it was alot louder (to the ear) and sounded so much cleaner. the CP amps are well worth the money.

As for electrical im running a DC power Dual alt bracket with a seperate 300 amp Alt just for the system, the stock alt handles only the truck. i have 1 XS power D3400 under the hood in the secondary batt tray and a XS power D3100 in the back with 2 runs of KNU 1/0 and all 1/0 under the hood.

You can go ahead and clog up this thread Ricky. I have already decided the setup I am going to go with so extra comments will help others make up their decision.

I decided on something far different what I originally planned. I have a friend that works in Car Audio retail so I pay wholesale prices.
Since I am after SQL more, I am doing 3 of the new JL Audio 12" W6v3s in a ported box powered by a Rockford T500 bdCP and a Rockford T1000bdCP, OR a new JL Audio Slash 1200/v3 wired down to 2.7 ohms. So I will be pushing about 1500w RMS to the 3 12s under the Rockford amps, or 1200 under the JL amp. More than likely doing the Rockford amps though.
I also have a slew of other equipment going in a the same time. They are various distribution blocks, battery terminals, circuit breakers, lug terminals, low voltage door speakers, Stinger speaker wire, KnuKonceptz Kolossus 0 gauge and 4 gauge wire.

how do you plan on wiring two amps to three subs? i would recommend one
T1500BDCP, well depending on your final ohm load.
JL uses Dual 3 ohm coils dont they?

Oh no the W6 has dual 4 ohm voice coils. I was going to wire the individual sub voice coils in series, then wire all the sub together in parallel to total a 2.7ohm load.
Then I was going to run the subs to one terminal cup and run speaker wire from each amp to that terminal cup. Using the T500 and T1000 aloud me to get decent power at the 2.7 impedance. With a T1500 I would have a lot less power than the T500 and T1000.

By the way, that whole plan got scratched.
I just officially decided to do one 15" SSA Xcon sub in a custom box with a T1500 at 2 ohms. It's just easier and cheaper while getting a lot louder. I was going to go with an 18" sub but the box has to be huge. 7.5 cubic feet of space is too big of a box compared to the 4 cubic feet I need for the 15.
