When my brake light went out (drivers side) in 2016 the warranty was in effect and it was replaced. Fast forward to 2019 and I'm into my extended warranty. Right side brake light goes out and warranty doesn't cover it. As many of you know the ENTIRE taillight assembly has to be replaced. Dealer quote for part only is $670 and it is on back order. What a croc of poop that is. Horribly engineered to have to replace an entire assembly because of one piece of the LED. I got on the internet and searched options. Found Logan Diagnostics (www.ledfix.com) in Franklin, TN. Contacted them and they will fix your taillight for $160 including shipping. I removed the assembly using their instructions, went down to local UPS store and had them pack and ship it (3 day delivery from CA) for $100. It arrived at Logan on a Friday and and they were ready to ship it on Saturday. It arrived back in CA on Wednesday (7 day round trip) and I paid a total of $260! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING LOGAN FOR ANY LED FIXES YOU HAVE!

My question would be why the extended warranty didn’t cover the replacement taillight assembly? What extended coverage did you get? Bumper to bumper?

Reason I ask is that my taillight has started to fail (brake led strip goes out intermittently)...and I have an extended bumper to bumper warranty and assumed it would cover the replacement minus the deductible..
