Hey Guys

Am I incorrect in thinking stock airbox pulls “fresh” air from inside the passenger front quarter panel? Now that summer is approaching in South Florida, the rains have started which means having to blast through massive floods. Unfortunately unavoidable, in many circumstances, I just want to make sure the Tahoe intake isn’t coming in from a place where water is reaching easily.

unles your submerging the engine compartment the stock intake is usually designed to keep most water out. crossing flooded areas i would suggest stopping and finding a different route if your half the 3/4 of the way to submerging the front tires. mainly due to bigblues comment. also take it slow through water so your not pushing the water up higher than it actually is.

Don't forget about the diff, trans and, if you have one, transfer case breathers. I'm not sure where they are located.
