1995 Tahoe 2 DR with 6.5 TD

I am a first timer on this site.
My question pertains to a recently purchased 1995 Tahoe 2 DR with 4 WD, auto tran, 6.5 Turbo Diesel. The unit has only 41,361 miles currently. I picked the Tahoe up in Jan. from my close friend in Tampa. I had my son drive the Tahoe back to our shop in western Pa and had no problems other that some type of boost code came up. The Tahoe ran just fine smooth but a little bit of a slug. The code came when he was climbing the long up hill on interstate 77 out of Mt Airy. He was running around 65-68 mph and was looking for more when the code came up. Any insite about the code?

2. Also I have been told countless times that the 6.5 is not a common arrangement. I would really like to know how many were produced in 95 with this set up.

the diesel version is rare because of it initial cost and at 41 thousand miles you have have struck gold it looks like. As for the code there are more then fifty to choose from I don't suppose you can narrow it down to the actual code. It would make it so much easier to diagnose.

Wow, 41K miles and on a rare truck. Wish I owned it. I would be on SS Diesel Supply web site ordering like mad for it. Do the upgrades now and get the horse power out of it and I think you will love it.

1995 Tahoe TD

Hi guys,
I will make the effort to get some photos of the Tahoe. I will also get a photo of the odometer for veiwing. I have it parked at my daughters boyfriend farm because I am awaiting the return of the title to get plates. The township does not allow unlicensed vehicles parked on my property. I have been sited before so I am a target for the township warden. I am still wondering how many were made.

Wow ur city feels like an ass... I'm going to guess it has sat for a long time? If so you will have problems... My 2dr sat and so far I've spent about 3-4 k on it.... Get a code scanner and see what it tells u

yea but its a diesel and he just drove it like 1k miles. he should be fine
