I have a 1996 Chevy Tahoe with a random misfire P0300 code, hard start, skip will running, and poor mileage. I've replaced a lot chasing the problem and doing maintenance work. In my most recent research it seems that the fuel pressure regulator and or fuel injectors/poppet valves could be the culprit as several people complaining of the same thing have replaced it and fixed the problem. I understand it's under the top part of the intake but what I'm looking for is maybe a how to or tips to make the swap go as easy as possible. I've swapped: plugs, cap, rotor, alternator, battery, fuel pump and filter, serpentine belt, idler, tensioner, and thoroughly cleaned everything. Any help is appreciated

I changed my injectors and still ran like crap until I changed the wires with original A/C Delco and ran like a champ ever since. But I before that I also changed the ing coil, crank Sensor, cap and rotor and wires. It still ran rough until I changed wires and Advance Auto wanted $160 for the wires alone, but found them on eBay for $60 shipped, last year. But it took me maybe 4 hours to do the injectors, making sure I was doing everything right. Wife would not let me bring her laptop into the garage to get her precious Sony breeze, but keep going online to look at pictures to get it correct, first time doing something like that.

Okay, I just didn't see in thread about wires. But on changing injectors, the main thing is to be careful with the fuel line when disconnecting them to the right of the distributor. Also mark or # your spark plug wires so they will not get crossed. If I remember the how to page I will post it for you.
