1996 to 1999 Frames???

Hey All,
I'm a newbie to the forum, but no newbie to wrenchin' I have a 1999 Yukon that has very low mileage, but the frame is bad. (dude must have been dipping it in salt water or parked it in grass) I've found a 1996 donor...will it work as a direct replacement?

If it is the same drive type, weight classification, wheelbase, model etc. it should work just fine.

I would try to find a frame that matches yours as closely as possible, because you never know....

Is the donor a yukon also? If not then i wouldnt do it cause the could be different. The suburban is longer. I would say try to find new. I think they dont go for that much.

It's the same truck, just 3 years older. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada so finding a good used frame, or a new one for that matter, is challenging. I'd much rather not have to go through the dis assembly of the donor though...so any suggestions where I might find a new one would be appreciated!

Wait didnt lmc sell frames a while ago? I coulda sworn i saw one a while ago

I'd only assume it would work. But honestly, not 100% sure. But anything is possible

Just make sure that the frame was from the same body style as yours. So if yours is a 4 door Yukon/Tahoe, then make sure it's a 4 door frame. The 2 door frames are different along with the Suburban frames
