Awesome forum guys. I have searched for hours looking for answers to my question..

I have a 97 Tahoe, 4X4, 2 door, all stock suspension.

I am getting conflicting information from rim and tire dealers around here and I'm just looking for some input from you guys.

I would like two know if I need a lift my truck to fit..... 16" or 17" American Racing ATX Artillery wheels with 285/75/16 or 17" Goodyear DuraTracs?. Does the offset of these ATX rims cause rubbing problems?. I am looking for a minimal lift if I do need one.

Truck is coming out of the paint shop soon. I'd be glad to show pics once she's done..

Thanks for any help.

you should be able to handle 285's on 16" or 17" without any issues. at worse you might have to crank the front keys just a bit.

Agree with Sun on this one.. Crank keys a bit (I have 275/75/17's on mine) Or when ya hit a dip you'll rub a bit.. Cranking will fix that issue and they will work.
