Hey guys, I'm trying to fix the driver's side windows on my 1997 Tahoe.

I've looked at various guides and even have a replacement window regulator/motor, but I've gotten stuck at a certain point:

After disassembling the door, I noticed that I can't get the inner panel off without rolling the window down. But I couldn't figure out how to do it manually, so I just stopped and reassembled everything.

My question is, how do I roll the window down manually so I can actually get the panel itself off? Or do I not even have to roll the window down?
Also, since the regulator is bolted in, once I remove it, how do I install the replacement regulator/motor?

Roll it down half way 2 make life easier... Drill out those rivets and replace with nuts and bolts if u dont have access to the large rivets...

Step 1: remove trim pieces... Step 2: remove inner door handle... Step 3: Reconnect window switches to harness and roll down window half way... Step 4: Unbolt inner door panel and wiggle the window regulator arms off from the inner panel tracks...

Then do wat u gotta do and throw her back 2gether...

The window won't roll down.

When I press the button, I can hear a slight clicking inside, but nothing actually happens.

unknown at this time.
while it is rolled up get some extra hands to hold the glass up and see if you you can unbolt or drill the rivets heads on the motor mount to get it off. that will let the glass all the way down since the motor is holding it up.
