So a while back my check engine lite came on and it was a bad O2 sensor. This was back in late June 2015. Now as of about a month ago, the light came on again so I took it in and they said it was an O2 sensor. So I said to them that they replaced it a a bit back and the said there are 4 of those bastards. Then it was the bank 1 sensor 2 and now it is the bank 2 sensor 2. Anyhow, according to him, the part costs just over $100 then after labor it comes out to $240. Yea, I got ripped off cause Rock Auto has them from $17 to $53. My problem is know which one to get! the mechanic was band this sensor that and rock auto has upstream and downstream. I am so confused so can anyone tell me what I need here? Thanks guys

Ohh and on another quick thing, what is the stock ride height supposed to be? I think my rear is sagging and can't find anywhere what the height is supposed to be.

unknown at this time.
bank 1 is left exhaust. bank 2 to is the right one. sensor 1 is in front of the cats and sensor 2 is in back of the cats. what specific code did you get? if it was for an efficiency fault the sensor may not be at fault and reporting something is wrong with the converter. use delphi or delco sensors only please.

Which ones would be upstream and down stream. I don't remember the actual code but it is the sensor. Thanks

Here is a delphi one;
DELPHI ES20317 {Click Info Button for Alternate/OEM Part Numbers} Info
Upstream; Trans. code 4L60-E; Wrench Size: 7/8 in.

so I would venture to guess, upstream is before the cat and downstream is after? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Then how to I find the trans code and does wrench size matter and if so, is that just the size of wrench needed to remove it? Thanks for your help buddy

Well, so after some research, I found you have to look for the RDO code, M30 is the 4L60 E and MT1 is the 4L80 E tranny. In the glove box there is a sticker that say service parts ID and for my truck there were 74 total 3 digit code that consisted of numbers and letters. For my truck, the code M30 in on the fart left, 4th down from the top. Also I saw it was on the actual tranny bell housing, under the passenger side.

As far so what bank and sensor and upstream or downstream:

Upstream is pre-cat and downstream is post-cat. Bank 1 is the left side and bank 2 of course is the right side.

Another difference if the connectors. Both front and back are 4 wires, however the upstream (before the cat) has all four wires inline and the downstream (after the cat) are in a block grouping.

I hope this helps anyone else out there, I know if I had this from the start, I wouldn't have wasted so much time, confusion, and frustration.

to the right as if you were sitting in the vehicle or standing behind the vehicle. Another reference can be the passenger side.
