So my 98 tahoe 2 door 2 wheel drive had some very spongy brakes when i bought it a few months back. The pedal would be extremely soft and travel almost all the way to the floor and wouldnt brake at an instant if needed. I bled them starting woth the furthest wheel from the master cylinder, that didnt work. Ive replaced the master cylinder and rebled the brakes on the same fashion as the first time. The pedal had improved a lil bit but the pedal still feels soft with a lot of travel. Is there a special procedure when bleeding abs brake system???

First check the adjustment of the rear shoes. This adjustment will be 90% of the pedal height feel of a good running rear drum brake system. If you do this (free) and it doesnt help, then you may need to have the ABS bled at a shop or dealer that can actuate the ABS with a Tech II or other computer.

You can do a search for rear drum brake adjustment.

They all have this problem. Just buy the hydra boost setup. Changes the whole feel.
