I posted yesterday about code p0300, but I thought id throw it all out there and see what y'all thought and what help I could get, before I get start ill make mention I only paid around 1300 for this at a car auction. it runs code 0300, needs inside and outside driver door handle(easy fix, I assume). My multi-funtion switch works but only the blinkers and brights lights work on the end where the wipers thing is, is missing there is 4 dif. Colered wires hanging out(is there any way to rig a toggle switch to this for one speed wipers till I get 160 for a whole new switch?) My windows roll down when the keys not even in. Has a tick noise but that's the exhaust I'm going assume. Power steering is rough when not pressing the gas, but when I'm on the gas its fine and easy to turn.... now on to the plus side, I bought this because before the auction I drove it. The 4 wheel drive works perfect, aside from the driver seat the interior is awesome, paint is awesome, engine only ran one code, and I buy and sale cars a lot, I'm only 20 but its an easy way for me to make money till I'm out school, I do fairly well money wise. But this one seems like a keeper if I can figure her out. My questions are all listed above and the only one left is do you guys think this was worth my 1300 bucks? All I want to do is level her out and put some 33x12.50x16 km2s and catback exhaust 45'd out the back and make her my everyday. maybe 4.88s since i pull a motocross trailer a lot. P.S sorry for the excessive thread just trying to figure this Tahoe thing out lol. That an I'm a little bored my ladies being a hypochondriac and ignoring me!

unknown at this time.
as for electric wait for the money to get that and a new ignition switch as well. yours is really screwed up if windows work with key out. for PS check the fluid level and tire pressures. you may be also having issues with the metering valve. as far as the engine code it can be simple to fix or expensive. it depends on your findings. yes it is worth it.

Go to a junkyard and start replacing all the broken stuff. The p0300 code is fairly common. My truck gets the code every once in a while on the highway.

Thanks for the replies! Here's another question, when I get in my car it has a bit of a stutter when cranking sometimes. Could the timing be off? And if so, could it cause the backfire and skip, possibly cause it to throw this code?

That sounds like it would be from the misfire-0300 when your starting up. Sounds like your spider is bad, if it was just a spark issue it wouldn't backfire

Well it stutters when starting more like a dead battery or the alternator going but both of those are fine.

How would I check for that code? I've had 4 v8 explorers as daily drivers I'm new to the gm scene. I've reset the code multiple times and within three minutes of driving only p0300 comes back is there another way to check for that? Thank you guys for all the help you are providing me.
