Recently bought a 2 door off marketplace, driver wheel sticks out way too far. Truck also sits slightly higher on driver side with keys de-cranked. Guy said he got a lot of parts from a old suburban, wondering if maybe he swapped a control arm and its too long? Whats my best way to diagnose this.

If it tracks fine down the road, then I'd go after some frame damage. Maybe there was an oops thar wasn't reported. My wife had a 95 tahoe just like yours that the tire rod snapped when leaving home. She ended up hitting the curb pretty hard at 20 mph and we had to straighten the frame.

Stupid failure, glad it was not on the expressway. Maybe that happened. Pull a tape along the frame from center to front and see what you get. It looks as though something is shifted.

"Checking for a diamond". Are both wheels/tires centered in the wheel openings? Same measurements from front of tire to a spot in front and measure same in back.

Check the diamond by picking the same spots on the left and right of frame and cross measure to them. The further away from each other the better.
