Hey y'all. I'm quite confused at the moment as i got two things going on with my Tahoe's transmission. First off, just recently i had to change the u joints on the drive shaft as they looked to be the original set from the first owner. The repair was a success but now i can physically feel what feels to be like a "clunking" somewhere between the tranny and the rear axle. Before changing the u joints; doing about 65 and up on the freeway was terrible. The entire truck shook due to the bad joints. Now i am trying to understand what the shuddering is as it only occurs from a complete stop and sometimes while coming to a complete stop. If i am sitting on an incline and i accelerate, i hear what sounds like a groaning coming from underneath somewhere. Also, it does not do this when i first start it up in the morning, it only does it when the everything is all warmed up and that leads to another thing. Secondly, how on gods green earth do you change the fluid on this tranny in particular? I have a heat shield and a shift bracket in the way.
