It really should not be driven in a salt winter hear in MN. anyone down south interested?

Tighten your steering gear box 1/4" at a time and test. Do not tighten too much or you'll be installing a new gear box....which is probably what it needs anyway.

IMO, the steering gear adjustments should be done in no more than 1/8th turn movements. I do agree that the box likely needs replaced anyway but the adjustments may do the trick.
