So it sat in the same exact spot for another week. I called him today to see what the story was, and he only came down to $2500 from $2800. I will not pay $2500 for it with all the work it needs. This guy is crazy.

Just a point of reference for ya... I bought my Tahoe in 2000 with 34k on the odometer. I now have over 300k with a lot of that being tow mileage, and have done quite a few things between purchase and now. Below are some of the "had to" items (more complete list including "wanted to" is in my "Mods list" signature link:
  • trans rebuild - 3 times (2nd was because it wasn't done right the first time). First was at 146k (Sep 2006), 2nd at 181k (Jun 2007), and most recently at 290k (Apr 2012)
  • rear end rebuild - new axles and bearings, carrier, diff cover
  • MPFI Spider Assembly - while replacing intake manifold gaskets the 2nd time
  • Ball joints, pitman and idler arms, tie-rod ends, also switched over to poly bushings and braided brake lines

Frame damage would scary me on any vehicle. If you could get it for like $1,500 it would be a good deal then. 2,500 is too much for me though for the condition it's in

2500-3000 is about the going price for a 2 door in "good" shape around here.

x2 on this!

2 door 4x4's are getting rare but you can find one in good shape for a good price.

Blue book on mine is like 4K I think and I'd call mine mint. frame damage is not a good thing. Walk away is my advice.

Thanks everyone....frame damage didn't look too severe. But the guy doesn't wanna play ball so I'm gonna let the next rich kid with mommy and daddy's money to just go willy nilly and misspend it. I located another one nearby also. It's a 94 Yukon with a 3" lift. Guy is asking $3500. Gonna check it out next week sometime. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks again.

unknown at this time.
Finding a 96 or newer will give you a automAtic 45hp boost and really opens up the possibility for mods on it later. If you can go that route.

Where in NY are you?

It has frame damage, don't walk...run away!

On long island a guy is selling on Craigslist a Blue 2 Dr with decent rims and a 454 in it for 3500. Good buy and clean truck from what I saw. I am at work and cant search for the link.
