1999 Tahoe brake lights staying on - SOLVED

Hey gang,

I have a 99 Tahoe that the brake lights are staying on all the time and I have no hazzards. I figured the hazzards aren't working because the lights are engaged and more than likely, the brake switch needs to be replaced. My question is in viewing the videos out there to replace said switch, I don't see a cross member part like my rig has to be able to access the switch. Also, when I step on the pedal, I have some lights that flicker on my 4 wheel drive selections switches as well as a couple dash gauges that flash and activate. Would this be something more than the brake switch needing to be replaced?

Photo of bracket blocking brake switch. I've tried to remove the 2 nuts as well as the 2 bolts on the back sides of the bracket and it doesn't budge. I'm at a loss as to how I need to proceed from here.

So, the access to the switch is blocked? If I personally run in to something I have not done before or can't see how to work around problem, I come here or look at a few you tube videos. I say "a few" because some are worthless.
The faulty switch can cause multiple lights and warnings. I wish you would post a pic of the mounted switch. Also, check your fuse(s).

Thanks for replying. I have checked all fuses and relays and they all seem fine. I'll get a pic of the switch, but it's right underneath the left side of that bracket I can't remove. I've done extensive video and other searches for this and can't seem to find anything about it. I was all ready to swap out the switch, but can't figure out this piece of the puzzle.

First test before removing brake switch is feeling the installation for wobble. I've seen some 94/95's with wear in nearly everything and no plastic bushings to replace. The temp fix was to tighten the available play with big HD ty-raps. Suggest looking at parts breakdown via vin number as that will also give switch part number or bushings if installed.
Another help is beeping voltmeter on brake light so you can tell off/on while wiggling.
