2/3 Belltech didn't drop as much as I would like in rear.

Randuff -- People HERE often end up realizing that they need shock extenders with their set ups (but don't have them), so I'm sure you'd find some buyers right here as well as on eBay.

You'll be happy with the new springs. They ride much better.

So it looks as though they don't want to swap out the part for me.
$220 for a new spring (just the spring)
$150 to install said spring
plus the tax.

Looks like i'll be ordering the kit from you Tony then selling off the extenders and spacers.

How difficult is it to install the rear springs?

rear springs take 30-45 minutes at most. What a rip off.

You can call me ill walk you thru it

you will need 2 jack stands
a floor jack

and just basic hand tools

1) lift truck up and put the frame on jackstands and leave at least 6 inches from the bottom of tire to ground (you can take tires off if needed about 5-7 minuts)
2) abs line on frame rail pop off which takes 10 seconds
3) put floor jack under rear axle and just jack up to support it a little (1 minute)
4) unloosen rear lower shocks from shock extenders (1 minute)
5) let the floor jack down slowly until rear springs are loose enough to pull out (1 minute)
6) put in new springs with 1 inch spacer on axle side (2 minutes)
7) jack up rear end (30 seconds)
8) reattach shocks to shock extenders (1-2 minute)
9) remove floor jack from rear axle (30 seconds)
10) drop truck to ground (2 minutes)

Tony -- I get my drop installed tomorrow. Do the instructions SAY to put the spacer on the axle-side/bottom of the springs? I don't remember them being on the bottom my first time around (but, I really can't say that they weren't). Just want to know if my guy will KNOW to do that. Maybe that's the ONLY way they fit, but I just want to be sure.

Thanks.

(Sorry for the thread-jack)

Looks like I will be investing in a floor jack and some jack stands!
What size do you recommend?

Found the instructions, and see that they DO say where to put the spacer. But, it doesn't seem entirely clear which way the springs go in. Is there a TOP/BOTTOM to the 5305s?

Jack stand seem to be pretty similar (though I would get some that are made in the USA). As for jacks, there's nothing better than the Griot's Garage low-profile jack. (Well, there MAY be better jacks -- but not if you need to get under a, say, lowered Z06. :))

The top is where the coils have a bigger gap between them. The part number should be facing upright when u look at it this way.
