Hey guys.

Im home for the summer now, until next semester of college (Late August) and I am in Western MA now. My question now:

I have a 2/3 lowering kit (New lowering shocks, New springs, Keys)
My step Dad said he will help me install it all for free in his home garage, but once it's done I need to get it re-aligned...right?

I also heard that shops need a "custom" alignment, as the stock alignment wont work with my 2/3 lowering kit and 23" Rims.

Is this true, if so what do I need to ask shops or what settings for their machine to make it work for me? Also, is it OK to have it lowered in my step-dads garage then drive 30 mins to a shop to get it aligned or is that a bad idea?

PLEASE HELP!!!

Thansk in advance,
:Handshake:

Yeah, You can do it in the garage and then go get the alignment Wont do no damage to your truck. I just took my truck to the shop where they sell wheels and they did my alignment for 50 bucks.

Shops around here say I need to provide the specs to align it if the "stock" settings arn't used. Are they right, and if so, what settings do I need?

BS. There is no "special alignment" on these trucks. Lower it, take it in to a reputable alignment shop, get it aligned, that's it. Unless you're going over 3" in the front you should be withing specs..

Unless you're going to road corse or race your vehicle the factory alignment specs are just fine. If the lowering kit is a good kit, it should have no problem getting it aligned back to factory specs. When I dropped my Trailblazer it came with new upper control arms to correct the ball joint angle and alignment and it is aligned perfectly with the factory specs.
