I am looking at a 99 2 door Tahoe with these recently performed upgrades:

Replacement motor with 65k on it
New 35 inch tires and rims (can't remember the brand).
Fuel Pump replaced withing rear
6 inch lift
Weston nerf bars
torsion bars
alpine radio w/ 2 12's and 650 watt amp
new belts
rebuilt transmission within year
new battery

The interior is in ok condition and the exterior needs new paint / a little body work (a small dent and a few dings). Body has 230k on it and underneath looks relatively clean with a very light rust in only a few places. Drives strong.

Guy has all the receipts for work.

Do you think this is worth 6k? He was originally asking 7900.

unknown at this time.
$5500 cash maybe $5800 if a title check comes back clean and the owner does not seem to be hiding anything or any thing on the gauge cluster draws your attention.

I agree, it is worth the blue book value. Lifts, tires or whatever add no value. If the seller is trying to re-cap money he should part it out

+1 any modifaction that is not OEM actually de-apriciates a vehicles value because the market looks at it like not everybody wants a lowered vehicle or lifted and vise versa , this is a different story if your trien to sell to the "right buyer" who wants all of the things he or she has on it. my dad always told me you will never get out of a vehicle what you put into it . no one should expect to profit from a personal build thats stupidity at its largest aspect

There is a sucker born every minute.
But the reality is a car is usually always a loss =(

2500.00 His mods hold no value. Just like taking a car to trade in with new wheels etc dealer is not going to care. I never would pay more for a car because it has a custom paint job or new wheels etc. Those are the risks in a car. Look at the BlueBook and NADA Value. I was looking at a 99 2 Door out here had a few issues with the interior but the guy wanted only 1500.00 That is fair to me. It is not by any means a newer vehicle at 12yrs old. Just my opinion but maybe look at one that is stock for far less asking price and then do the work yourself? You might save money and have it done exactly the way you would like.

Like said, 7900 is way too much. Also like said, none of the aftermarket add-ons affect the actual value of the vehicle. They might to the actuall owner who invested that money, hah.
I'd go with $5k cash and see what happens. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Good Luck
