Hello all! I'm buying a Tahoe Premier (4x4, if that matters) and negotiating with the dealer on level kit and tires.

I've decided on a 2" front level kit, but I'm trying to narrow in on tire sizes that would fit. The two main sizes I'm looking at are 275/65r20 and 285/60r20. Looking at BFG KO2's or Duratracs.

I created a thread on the Suspension board and got an answer to the 285s - sounds like they'll fit with a 2" level but may rub the control arm at full lock.

However, I've have searched everywhere and can't seem to find anyone running the 275/65r20 size on a 2" level. Does anyone know if these will fit and whether there would be any rubbing?

Thanks for any info or insights!

I cannot give you a direct affirmative answer to your question for your 2015 Tahoe, but I can give you a similar or potentially similar reference measure that may be helpful for you in assessing the 20" wheel option and associated tire sizes.

I have a 2007 Yukon XL Denali with no leveling or lifting, and when I bought it used, it had 275/60x20 Goodyear Wrangler SA tires on stock 20x8.5 wheels with a 31mm offset, which easily fit with no rubbing. I have recently changed tires to 305/50x20 Michelin Defender tires on the same stock wheels, and they fit with no rubbing, though the clearance on the front tires between the leading and trailing edges of the tire and the forward fender liner is about 1/2 inch.

I trust that this will provide you with some additional information for your assessment.
