I'm interested in buying a Tahoe (1995-2000). I've looked at a few two doors, but I'd really rather have 4 doors. I found this one--->LINK<---

NADA has the values at:
$5225--Retail
$3200--Clean Trade-in

But, this tahoe has a lift kit and rancho shocks. What price should I pay for it? Do the modifications increase the value?

A vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Out here in California I would consider that truck way over priced. I just bought an 01 (the newer body style) with 98k from a private party for $4700. Third row, lifted, tow package, 4wd, rear air, nice truck but cloth interior.

Look on C/L in your area to get an idea of what is out there at what price.

I see the sticker for Superlift lift kits on the overhead console, but from the back you can see the body lift. And that price is really high, you could at least try and talk them down, but just keep your eyes out for anything else. This isn't the only one out there. Looks clean though!

+1. I bought my '99 in July with $163k for $3,400. Mine is super clean and well maintained. That truck looks pretty clean but I wouldn't pay more than $4,500 for it at the most.

Not a Z71 but a Limited and Jan 2000 I saw this truck parked outside the Chevy dealer and had to have it. She hit me for $35K with 12 miles on it and were still together, lol. She lasted through 2 wives (on #3) and 2 additional children.
If that's what you want get it don't think twice or it will get away.

Yeah that's way too high. Trucks in that condition go for about 4500 around Alabama. Things that detract the price to me include the lift, which suggests its been ragged out, and the fact that the factory brushguard is gone (some people take them off) and the factory bumper (should be body color with foglights) is gone, and the lower valance is off a 2WD. That suggests to me that it has been wrecked, or at least hit something hard.

And with 147,000 if it hasn't had it already, you're getting close to having to put lower intake gaskets and likely spider injectors on it. Looking at close to another 500 dollars if you do it yourself or probably 750-1000 to get a shop to do it. With a lift, likely all the bushings and ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman, and idler are shot. Looking at probably another 800-1000 there.

Not trying to be a buzzkill, just speaking from experience. I bought a 2000 z71 that had a lift, with 92,000 for $9K about 5 years ago. Took the lift and such off and have had to throw a lot of money at it to get it back right. Didn't know really what I was doing when I bought it and have paid for it. It was an emotional must have for me because I loved this body style growing up, and had a lot of good times with friends in OBS tahoe/yukons and trucks.

All markets are different, but if I had to guess, I would say absolutely no more than 6k. That estimate comes from what they sell for in my area (South Alabama).
