Let me hear them. We are buying a 4 door truck, my buddy has one on his lot right now 120K miles, not sure the price yet. Going to see it tomorrow. Anyone have opinions on these? I would really like an XL yukon or suburban but I have a feeling the price will be good since he is one of my oldest buddys.

Tahoe with more goodies, say get it pending on price, pray your not spending more then 5k b/c of location and your friend.

Escalade has the SAME exact drivetrain to the T as OBS tahoes, just exterior and interior modifications!

CARFAX, pics and LUCK!

I know the drivetrains are the same. Just looking for general opinions on the vehicle really. Gas....it's a full size. Mine gets 12, nothing will shock me. Depending on the price it may be worth it. Even if it needs a motor or drivetrain work, that's easy. 383 in this one too!

Or keep looking for my burban.

I vote keep looking for the Yukon XL or Suburban.

When I was shopping for a new truck, I really wanted the longer wheelbase for the extra 2 feet of interior space. But I got my yukon for a good $$ due to the bad motor. I settled. I compromised by buying a rack and building a plywood box to fit inside of it, and a couple of roof bags.

For trips or otherwise I've used the rack a few times. Each time, I wish I hadn't settled for the short wheelbase.

The moral of my story? If your not in a hurry, wait and get what you want. If your buddy has a car lot, then ask to goto the auction with him. Offer him $100 over auction price on what you buy.

EDIT: Don't be lured into compromising your wish list by the eye candy of the Escalade. :)

that poor truck is all I can say. It took me all of 10 seconds to not like it. It had been very abused.

Looking at a 1997 loaded GMC Suburban with 100K on it, a 2002 yukon denali XL with 200K on it and a 2004 yukon XL tomorrow. I love the denali but not the milage, but a motor is easy. I'll keep you all posted. I so need a new toy.

im a big fan of OBS escalades and denali's, but if you find a good burban i'd jump on it. almost all of the around here are complete trash.

I'd hold out for a newer suburban or yukon xl. I don't think the OBS Escalades are anything special, but thats just me

Going to drive the 1997 suburban today, saw it last night and it is very clean. All the same options as my truck , leather color and all. if it runs well and I do not find a major flaw I should have it here around lunch time. It will need some TLC though, debage, and gfet the mud flaps and pin stripe, bug deflector and stuf like that.
