"I read somewhere it could be the knock sensor? Another thing Ive noticed is rarely seomtimes when i turn the car off in a parking lot, come back to it withint 5-10 mins turn it back on and pull out the parking lot and step on the throtle a little the car gets confused, as if it doesnt know Im pressing the gas, and then all of a sudden its like it catches and then takes off."

That seems like a throttle position sensor problem.

There's a test guide for it here.

Is the miss at idle more than 50 rpm? Is there no error code or check engine light?

I've also been told that throttle shaft bushings can be a problem if there is too much play.

Anyways, Good luck!

what do you mean more than 50 rpm? And only when going up a steep hill and when i lose power does the check engine light flash and stay on and every time its random misfire. code.

I think you better recheck your fuel pressure when driving. Either fuel supply or spark is not happening under load for some reason. Flashing CEL is an active misfire. Misfire history in the pcm memory will go a long way to narrowing down the culprit along with a pressure , plug inspection and spark test of each plug wire.

right now its more of a rough idle while its in park and drive standing at idle

You think bad O2 sensor would cause a slight rough idle while in park and drive? I once got a O2 sensor code but the dumbass mechainc deleted the code before i could see which one it was and it never came back after that.

Then it not really misfiring then. The code really needs to be know to see what kind of effect it will have. Drive a bit to get it back and read it.

Ive driven 2-3k miles since that code and it never came back. Im getting sick of this ****** car, Ive had 3-4 other silverados with the same motor and those never game me any problems but this yukon has been pissing me off. Would the TPS cause this or EGR valve? Ive already cleaned the EGR valve and it looked real clean too.

My mechanic had his snap on scanner hooked up to it, and it would show cylinders 2,7,8 would have misfires.
