Thanks, those will help...

Thanks for the links, they will help allot...

QUOTE=ezdaar;416534]All I am saying is that manual downshifting a Auto trans thats not built to handle the stresses is a leading cause for trans failures.

Now If your driving in snow and need the assistance of the trans to keep you from crashing, then by all means do what needs to be done.
1-2k for a new trans is far cheaper than a new 10-50k vehical or your life.

I am hoping someone has had this exact issue.lol

NP bud GL, keep the questions coming as there are guys here FAR more knowledgeable about trans than me..

These things that just happen when parked make me crazy.lol
With the cold air intake it is easy to know when she downshifts and isnt as fun right now.
I just wish it threw a code to give me some direction....

Researching on line seems like the TBS can cause issues such as this...
Hoping someone can assure me of this.lol Would be the easiest solution...
The other things listed where the pcm and speed sensor, a bad connector and or wiring that being said it was parked, sat for 2 days and then acted up,no evidence of critters....

Was the weather really cold??
Is no sensor, that would be all the time with the check eng light on!
Maybe high miles, brittle seals, took a while for temp to set in fluid!
If its fine now would not worry!
If is not broke!dont fix it!

Hi,
It was in the 50's the past couple of days,30's at night , a good wind driven rain overnight...Other than that nothing out of the ordinary as far as weather.
130k miles, this is the first time it has acted up (today).Still acting up as far as I know,at least when I parked it.Still broke...lol
