Okay so I bought my 2000 Z71 back in January. Talked the guy down because the Michelin ATX tires are 10 and 12 years old. Okay after some research on ATs because this is my first truck and coming across a good deal I decide on the duratracs. Stock tire size on the Z71 are 265/75/r16. Now if I go to say Tire Rack or even the Goodyear website because these are the only website I know that let me choose a 2000 Z71 option. Well they all say the duratracs won't fit. I can't figure out why. I thought because of load range but tire rack offered other higher load range tires like the KO2. I thought maybe clearance was an issue my rear tire is only about 1.5 inches from my leaf spring but still the KO2 has an aggressive sidewall but is still offered. Can anyone shine some light on this ? Before I spend 600 on none usable tires.
