2001 GMC Yukon XL Dash Bezel Upgrade

so when you guys bought the double din kit, it was for the 03 & up kit, right?

I bought the original single din kit and cut the bracket clips off the kit and bolt the clip brackets to the double din(pioneer) did a little trimming on the dash
Plus u have to remove the inside metal thing it has two rivets holding it drill them out

oh, so it would bolt right to the radio itself? why do i see some threads/replys that people use some wood/particle board as a "spacer" in between the radio & the bracket/clips?

I did the same as Victor and cut the bottom piece of the bezel to fit it. I have a pic or two in my album if you want to look at it.

Yes brackets will bolt straight to DD u can use a spacer but I really didn't need one

Remember if you buy the 03+ bezel, there will be a 1" gap on top of the AC controls too. I know bc I did this mod and it looked terrible!!

i think i'm going to just trim my bezel. i think that is the most cost effective thing to do.
