2001 Silverado fan on 1 speed does not work.

Hello all

On my 01 truck all my blower fan speeds work fine beside #1. It blows NOTHING when on that setting.
What is the issue.

Every speed but 1?
Prob resistor, youll prob end up lising another speed soon

yep probably resistor, you can get a kit online $20-30, its under the passenger side glove box area, remove the kick panel with 7 or 8mm socket, it is right there next to place where a cabin air filter would go if you have one. easy fix

It's either the resistor under the dash, or else the fan switch in the control panel in the dash. The fan switch can be replaced without replacing the entire control panel. It's just two screws and it screws on to the back of the panel and the knob shaft goes all the way through the panel, the fan speed knob pops on to that shaft.
