2001 Tahoe 4x4 ( high pitch noise) only at 40-55 mph

Hello everyone. I have a 2001 tahoe that just started making a high pitch noise but only at speeds between 40-55 mph. The noise sounds like a tornado siren when its facing the other direction. I have the noise in 2HI, 4 auto and 4HI. The sound stays the same if im going straight or turning. Also i just replaced both front hub bearings. I cant tell exactly where the noise is coming from but my best guess would be right front. My dad seems to think it could be my tires.

NO.... stop driving it....

It will be VERY costly when you driveshaft rips through the floor and hit someone, or tear up the bottom end of the truck causing major damage, and having to get it towed.

Check ALL your U-joints... this would be a good time to replace them ALL anyway. Do you see any needles in the driveway?

I havent seen anything but I plan on putting it up on 4 jack stands and putting it in drive to see exactly where the noise is coming from. The noise just started two days ago. I have no vibrations at all and it is completely quiet up until i reach 40mph. the sound increases up until i reach 45mph and then decreases until i reach 52mph. I will check the drive shafts to make sure they are ok. Thank you for your help.

mine was doing the same thing till my ujoint let go, and droped the driveshaft.... The sound sounded kinda cool like a minature spool from a turbo... even thought it was my trans at 1st. I drove it like that for about 1month b4 the problem.
