Hey guys I'm looking to repaint my entire dash on my 2001 tahoe, I already finished all the panels and doors with a nice flat black. Does anyone have a how to or step by step on how to remove the entire dash cover? Thanks in advance

PM Bomba02 - he just took it out.

Would love to see pics of your flat black interior. Thinking of changing mine and always looking for pictures.

the little edge i circled is were the dash comes apart all in one big piece start with the top and once its all free pull it up and over the wheel youll see why you need the gear shifter in 1 and the steering wheel all the way down

will do! I'll get pics up once it's all done. I'm going from that stock gray/black to all black so it's a big change but I'm loving it so far, the new color with my blue LED swap I just finished really makes being inside the truck an experience

Thanks for your help my man! I managed to get that bezel you're pointing out off but I'm having trouble with the big piece over the entire driver/passenger dash. I'm a little iffy about just pulling stuff off because there are airbag sensors that I don't want to mess with :Nonono:

it all pops out its not connected to anything at the most youll turn your hazerds on ive popped mine off an on like 100 times but you must lower the steering wheel and put the gear shifter in the lowest possible gear to allow room for it come out if you dont it wont come out

You need to remove all of the screws you see holding the dash cover on. Once all of the screws are removed, you slide the dash cover back from the windshield. There are clips holding it in right near the glass. Once you slide it back, carefully disconnect the sensors on the dash. They are quite fragile.

Hey man, you need to pull the pass side air vents out and the reach inside on both sides and there is push release for the o shit handle. Take that off both side pieces snap them off two screws on each side, remove cluster bezel and there a bunch of 7mm you need remove and then just pull both a pilars off. Then you should be able to pull it towards you to un snap it from clips by window and disconnect the two sensors. That should work good luck man. Ask any question you may have.
