2001 Tahoe...going from 16" rims to 17" rims. Do I need any other adjustments?

Hey guys,

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas...and have a Happy New Year!
My question is this..I plan to get stock 17" Chevy rims from a 2004 Tahoe this evening.
My Tahoe has the stock 16" rims, and I heard the ride improves with the 17" rims. Plus..I like the look of them better.
When I put on the new rims, with new tires...will I need to replace anything on the front steering components? Will the steering shaft, gear box, pitman arm, idler arm, etc. need to be replaced?
Will everything on my stock 2001 be able to handle the new size and weight of the new rims and tires without replacing anything else?
Thanks so much for the clarification and advice. I really appreciate it.
Take care!
