Ok guys, so I have a 2001 tahoe. The ac compressor started getting sluggish...the compressor belt tensioner pully started slapping around Making noise when i accelerated. Read forums they all said compressor was probably getting sluggish causing that to happen. So one day the ac belt broke. No cold air of course. I evacuated the system, changed the compressor, the evaporator, the orifice tube. Charge the system. The front blew cold cold cold but the rear blew warm. So I did some research, found out it could be the expansion valve. So i evacuated the system again, changed the expansion valve, charged the system and same thing.....front blowing cold, rear blowing warm. I felt the ac hoses under the rear of the Tahoe and both lines are warm. I thought maybe the the rear evap core could me clogged or something....so I evacuated the system again, took it all apart, evap core wasn't clogged. So again I charged the system and same thing.. When I replaced the orifice tube it had a little bit of shaving on it but not enough to clog it. Then when I replaced the expansion valve it also was a bit dirty and I could blow straight threw it meaning the valve itself failed im guessing. I dont think the condenser would be clogged because the front ac blowes cold. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!!

Pull it down hard and leave it sit for 1/2 hour minimum, blocked in so you can see any changes to vacuum. Could be moisture in system. Next step is to blow air thru rear lines or flush them if it holds.Don't take any shortcuts when doing rear air, or you'll do it twice. Use temp gun to check lines for temp differences, ice/oil blocking especially in low spots.
