2001 Tahoe Tail Lights TINTED!

I recently bought tail lights off eBay from a seller who tints all tail lights... I think they look great. Only complaint is the reverse lights suck(I shuldve had him tape off the reverse) but its all good. Just bought some LED reverse lights off eBay and they should be in soon... Havent been stopped yet, many cops hve driven behind me and seen them, and I live in CALI!!! Let me know your thoughts! _SIDENOTE_I have heard alot about people with HID lights getting tickets and since I dont want to do a Retro fit to make them proper, I recently discovered a projectpr headlight bulb... And comments? Idk how they would work... :/

They look pretty good--a little on the 'dark' side for my tastes....seen that seller on ebay too....I'm actually surprised you haven't been stopped....YET.....

I'm running PNP HID's in my stock Denali projectors...light output is decent and the cutoff is nice--- have zero issues with cops......been behind them and pass them. I'd love to do a true retro someday but my mod $$$ is for other things right now.......

I guess cops don't really care anymore I had my tails on my charger tinted for 2 years and never got pulled over for it. Brother in law has the car now and hasn't been pulled over for it either.

They were darker than I expected as well... I went to an auto shop and bought some brighter bulbs for the brake lights which seemed to help a lot. I think they are lightening up a little too from the sun, they seem a little lighter to me. I also am keeping my stock ones in my truck becuase my cousin had his mustang done and when the cops stopped him he would just tell him he has the stock and he can swap them and they let him go. Hoping that will be the case for me.


What are PNP HID's? And is your casing the same as mine in a tahoe? Also, quick off of this. I see older escalades with HID lights, yet no projectors and 100% stock. Could I get those bulbs or are their set up different or what? lol Long reply but many questions!

Did I REALLY do that... Im gonna put it on the other thread but those look really nice. I like light tinting to lights, diffidently makes the vehicle stand out more... They look really good too. A lot of people i know who have done them at home, somehow makes them all scratched looking...

I had the guy I use smoke them there painted using automotive paint and clear, done a bunch of lights for me does a damn good job. I prefer my lights darker but I had these done for a buddy of mine (member on here) so we will post up pics when there on his rig.
