2001 Yukon 138K on the clock...TRANS

2001 Yukon 138K on the clock…. Remote started in Tuesday morning and it jumped rearward then hit the park lock whatever I guess and settled. (of course it was in PARK) Thought it was really strange and it scared the shit out of me.. but it’s drove fine for the last 2 days. This morning I started it with the key and noticed a strange noise I’ve never heard before coming from the trans or that vicinity…. Shifts are wrong and slipping, something is way wrong.

Here’s the kicker.. I pull a boat and I’ve had a trip planned for 2 months 3.5 hours away and we leave on Tuesday the 13th. FML…

Any ideas??

Pick up a trans tomorrow and swap it out in a day. At least around here, you can get a trans pretty cheap. I haven't done a trans on one of these trucks, but most RWD arn't that bad.

01 is gone…. Couldn’t justify spending another 4k on a truck worth 2k…..
