I was wondering what would be easiest way to install a Transmission Temp gauge in my
2001 Yukon. Any help would be appreciated.

Find on here or google about adding the temp gauge. You can swap in a cluster with it I believe and it'll just work. Not sure if that's for all years though

Like stated just get a closely matching year gauge cluster from a Denali or an Escalade.
I just put a 2005 Escalade cluster into my 2004 Tahoe and the trans temp gauge works fine. Doesn't do much since I don't drive hard or tow, but it does work just fine and it looks good.

Or go all out and get a separate gauge pod, mount pod and a trans temp insert and tools necessary to drill into your tranny. Your choice.

If you only need it occasionally, like towing once in a while, scan gauge or even one of the $20 Bluetooth/wifi OBD readers with torque or DashCommand will give you the temp (I know DashCommand will cost you $10 for th GM PIDs) to see trans temp. That's what I do

I had to get my cluster rebuilt, when doing so I had the option to put in a trans temp gauge. All the wiring is already ran, it's plug and play and you still get to keep your original cluster with correct miles. Search around for company's that rebuild them and see if they offer the trans temp gauge install.
