2002 Tahoe brakes

I have recently bought a 2002 Tahoe, but it was sitting for over a year and the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor, the brakes still work but it's you have to hit the brakes harder than you should, does anyone know what it could be?

I would look to see if there are any leaks. Check by each wheel to make sure you aren't spilling brake fluid everywhere. next, Check around the floor of the driverside. Leak be the wheel is a busted line. leak where the drivers side floor is Brake master cylinder.

If you don't see any leaks, and your master cylinder reservoir is full, it's most likely the master cylinder itself leaking internally.

I have changed all rotors, pads, caliper brackets and pins and it still seems hard to brake, my reservoir is full. Could it be a brake booster or the master cylinder? If so how hard of a replacement is that?

If your brake pedal slowly but eventually travels to the floor!, I would say it's the master cylinder. If it doesn't go to the floor, might be the booster. Check the vacuum hose for any cracks or loose connection.

Just noticed the post is several days old, any updates?

It recently went for inspection and the reason the brake pedal went to the floor is because it had 2 bad calipers

Tahoe are just big to stop. Lol my brake is like yours too. All new brakes and everything is working proper but the pedal has to be like half way down to start stopping... Even my dads 2001 Silverado feels the same way... Then I drive my wife's Grand Prix and brake check myself and about hit my face on the steering wheel the first time using her brakes.. Vehicles are different.

Lol. But my pedal went down about 3/4 of the way before slowing down but I found out that 2 of the calipers weren't even working
