Hey guys I'm new to the forum. Glad to be here. I'm a proud owner of a 2002 Chevy Tahoe LT. Recently my speakers have blown and my Sirius radio that hooks up via FM transmitter has broken. Other than the Sirius radio which is seperate from the head unit, everything is stock. I just got rid of my 15 inch kicker sub and my 1300 watt amp because I got tired of the heavy bass. With all of this happening, I have been thinking of options as far as upgrading my head unit to include SiriusXm capabilities as well as an aux port (as of now I'm using the tape player method to listen to my iPod). I would also like a relatively nice display so I can easily identify what mode I'm in as well as the station and information about the current program I'm listening to (ie. the score of the game on Sirius). This doesn't necessarily have to be LCD because I do not want to spend a fortune but for an affordable price I wouldn't rule LCD out. I also want a clean stock-like look to the unit. I hate cheap looking head units that make a car look worse rather than better. In addition to the head unit, I would love to upgrade my speakers. I under stand that other models of the same body style had a Bose system with a subwoofer in the center console. If I could come across this factory system for sale would that be a good buy for me? If not, what aftermarket speakers would be a good alternative ? As for sound, I am over the heavy bass. I now wish for a nice clean sound with pure, low, but not overly powerful bass. I don't want junk but I do need something affordable. I am definitely considering Craigslist for looking for speakers/head unit. What advice do you guys have for me? Sorry for the long post I just wanted to give as much info as possible.
Thanks!

I'm a pioneer H/u type of guy...I don't care for sat radio but many of their h/u allow you to add on XM & Sirius if you choose too. You can try 1 of these

http://compare.ebay.com/like/300739121128?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar

of course if I'm not mistaken you may have to do a little trimming if you have the 1-1/2 din.

I also think their TS-D components are decent if you're on a budget.

A lot of it depends on your preference but I think just about any decent brands will be an improvemnt over stock/bose (at least it was for me).
