will that app clear the codes? if it can, clear them, then see what comes right back. a lot of times the codes are stored, some could be years old and had been fixed already.

It can clear it but it comes right back it's triggered when the ignition is turned on

That's the app I bought a vlink icar scanner on amazon for 29cad. When you open the app it asks you the model of your car then let's you chose the protocols and you can chose what type of scan you do.


Most scanner apps only let you access all command sets/default addresses


But under advanced it will let you scan all command sets + common non standard addresses. This picked up the c code


I think the blue driver app can pick them up Aswell but you would need a blue driver obd2 dongle aswell
