2002 transmissions

does anyone know if there differences in those trannys in the different models or are they all the same tranny

AFAIK all 1500s have the 4L60E. The 1500HD trucks got the 4L80E. It would be a safe bet to assume all Tahoe/Yukon/Denali/Escalade trucks have a 4L60E. If you have one of the 2500 Tahoe/Yukon trucks then you have the 4L80E and 8 lug wheels.

thanks. im 6 lug. so that would be the 4l60e

i think ill be doing a swap. friend of mines rebuilds them. im bout through with the one thats in there. brought it to the worst tranny shop in the bronx. found that out the hard way about 8 times.
