i own a 2003 chevy tahoe z71, i had 2000 miles left before my next oil change and i drove about 1000 miles from massachusetts to south carolina. i left it outside overnight and the next day i went to start it and it didnt wanna turn over but sounded like it could easily, in the dic it displayed the messages change oil and oil reset. ive tried a bunch of crap such as changing the oil and oil filter and i pumped the pedal 3 times within 5 seconds but neither has worked and my truck wont start but will turn on fine, any ideas guys?

Are you saying the engine cranks/turns over but does not start? The oil change message wont have anything to do with that.

like it turns on and i can do everything but start it, and ive heard that with the 2003 models the oil pressure sensor or its connector can fail and the cars computer will not allow the enigine to start because it thinks there is no oil and it will save the enigine this way

Wrong sir! The car will start, but the gauge just doesn't work. All that happens is that the plastic cracks. Oil leaks into the sensors and ***** with the wiring and you get to remove it and re-wire a new one with a custom harness. I still need to get around to doing mine. Tow it to autozone, have them erase the code and you should be fine. If it happens again your ******.
