2003 Denali Shock Replacement Question

How is the Ride Quality with regular shocks? I've heard you need to replace the springs if you go from the air shocks to a regular HD Bilstien shock. Different spring rate maybe? Do the springs need to be replaced as well?

I never tow and want to just to a regular HD shock to save on money. I'll only be driving the Denali for another 1.5 to 2 years max.

I have regular shocks on my denali until I have the money for new air shocks and compressor. It's just standard shocks for a yukon.
