I would think if anything MAF would be more beneficial than just speed density.

I was looking into HP tuners, could you link me to a kit that has everything I need to tinker with it? Also how does the credit system work? Is it one credit per VIN? Or one credit per tune?

I bought mine from Summit, it came with all the credits I needed. You will need two credits per controller for a 2015 Yukon.. Maybe less if it's a different ECU.

I've been drinking light beers so don't quote me on any of this.. The license is bound to the vin and the dongle (the J2354 pass through thing your buying). The computer code can change revisions and get updated from scratch using GM's sps firmware and still retain it's license..
