From OPs description, it could be anything anywhere in the entire driveline to the two little neighbor kids OP forgot they had strapped to the roof.Need to be more specific, Where is it coming from? does it change when you turn, or fast inputs to the steering? Could be simple from a bad PS pump to a bad rear end to transmission, thats why we need as much detail as possible.
Tahoe it’s when you accelerate on the load, changed Alternator, tensioner/idler Pulley, noise still there, noise is coming from under the hood, that’s where I’m hearing it, noise sounds like a car with gear drive, noise comes and goes when shifting, automatic. TransTahoe makes whining sound when accelerating, don’t know what’s the noise
Nodid you get high output alternator? I have seen some aftermarket H/O alternators whining
