I have two guages that are obviously broken. There are several places on line that will do the repair if you send you cluster in. Have any of you done this? Any vendors you recommend? Any pitfalls?

Thank you,
Scott

I used digital dash solutions on ebay, He also has a website called fixmygauges.com. He`s in connecticut. You can either send in your broken unit and have him fix it or what i did was just buy a rebuilt one and you pay a core fee and once you ship it back you get the deposit back. He throws in the transmission temp gauge for free as well. You can also change the color of the gauge needles and the color of the gauge face. I got the white silverado SS white overlay with red needles going on 3 or 4 years with no problems.

I found a guy on Craigslist. $100 and he came to my house, pulled it, resoldered, replaced, and cleaned everything, and reinstalled it. Worth every penny.

I do them, but you would have to ship your cluster to me. It's actually not difficult if you know how to solder. There are several discussions and threads about doing this repair, and even a few very informative instructional videos on YouTube showing how to replace the stepper motors.
