2004 4wD and AC questions

Hey guys!

I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 that's having a few issues and was hoping I could get some insight.

Issue 1:
AUTO 4WD,2wd,4hi and 4lo lights are not lighting up and are not responding when I try to engage 4wd. From little research, a TCCM may be the fix?

Issue 2:
AC BLOW VERY COLD WHEN DRIVING, but when at idle it does not blow cold. What could this be? Easy fix?

I don't know about your four wheel drive lights but as far as the A/C is concerned, I would first check and make sure that the condenser doesn't have trash crammed around it. Mine is doing something similar but it doesn't always do it. I can hear the A/C compressor kicking off and then back on. I think that I just have low refrigerant. That could be your problem as well.

2004... You have a mechanical fan right? How's the fan clutch? Does it get colder if you rev it?


There's a TSB about installing an efan for the condenser. Do you have one? It'll be on the front, behind the grille
