I'd say a hard case with foam is overkill to store an MPVI in, I put mine in a soft laptop case with my laptop and leave the cord connected pretty much its entire life. When you have the laptop open logging you will find space gets crowded quickly, at least for me who has to shift still. I wish my laptop wasn't so big. Here is what my Tahoe tune file looks like, plenty of room for a decent description, and it's right there to see easily.

The more you log the more issues you will find that you think you can make a little bit better. That's usually when I start making stuff worse.

Thanks for the screenshot. That's not at all what I was picturing. I was thinking it would be a list with the main file name and a few letters of whatever could fit in a box after that, so a bunch of cut-off sentences.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for another laptop. I like having a 17" monitor, but damn, this thing is heavy. The laptop is 8lbs. and the power brick and wires is 3.5lbs. Probably end up with a ~15", no CD/DVD and preferably a SSD. I want lightweight, thin and good battery. I'll keep a small inverter on board just in case.

I never thought about a laptop case. I was thinking of something thin but large enough to hold a notebook (8.5"x11" sheets) so I wouldn't have to keep up with three separate items. I'll just keep it in a small soft case I already have on hand and reassess later.

SSD is king! I put one in my laptop a few years ago and it's crazy fast to start up now. A smaller laptop is definitely nice to tune with mines big but my buddy's is really small which is good because mine would never fit in his rx7 lol.

I'd like to look into an inverter but I have enough wires all over the place as is.

Instead of a laptop how about a Notebook? Much smaller.

Put a bunch of miles on the truck today and I feel like the shocks are riding better and better in the rear. Or I'm just noticing it more on different levels of bumps. Also had my tire light come on today even though it's 76* and they were all around 27-29lbs, I typically shoot for 35ish.

One major downside to the new shocks as with putting the 285 Nitto 420s on compared to the cheesy Bridgestones it had is that the truck feels so stable, controlled, and safe that it's actually boring. The mild LQ4 is not a powerhouse by any means but now it truly feels underpowered since it has no desire to spin the tires or even unsettle the suspension during no-lift shifts. This is my first time properly building a suspension and drivetrain before adding power and as much as I like feeling confident it's safe to beat, I sure do want another 300hp or so.

I think a basic Trick T6 package would be perfect.
