Anything to do besides pull it and look at it?

Real talk

was genuinely upset when that hero passed. still too soon bro

the queen? didnt really give a shit
I idolized him when I was younger, had one of his movies on VHS and played it 100times. The actual story of his death is pretty brutal too, it stabbed him many many times. The camera crew and his dive partner didn’t realize he was bleeding until they came back up to the boat and saw him taking his gear off sitting in a massive puddle of blood. He bled out almost as soon as they noticed his wounds and they still did cpr for over an hour. Pretty heart breaking for the dudes with him. The camera guy said “I just kept filming because I though he’s to tough to die” or something close to that.

Can you see up there through and inspection plate or something and have someone start it? Or go pro and start it? If it's new, can you warranty exchange it? That's about the the only thing it could be, if it's only doing it when you you're starting it. I haven't worked on anything that needs shimmed in, well, years. Sbc era. If it's something that could use a shim, you could try to get it shimmed out a bit

That’s kinda what I figured, I haven’t been under it and looked yet, but I don’t think there’s an inspection hole. I’ll remove and reinstall maybe it will fix itself, change sounds, or have physical evidence of being bad somehow. I can always Amazon another for $60 and return the old one.

Try to slide it away from the flywheel if you can. That may get it far enough away to give it that extra fraction of a second to return. Hopefully it's an easy fix for you

Instead of messing with stuff like the starter I decided to chop up the rear bumper and build something. Not done, still need to incorporate a receiver, build angled caps for the bottom piece to tie into the top tube, and reinforce the factory mounts somehow. This is what I have so far, not welding it at home this 4x4 is atleast 1/4” wall so I’ll prep everything really good at home and take it to class to burn in with a big boy welder and free gas lol.
