Do you have a aftermarket radio? Or are you wanting to keep the stock one?

The simple answer is no, you dont HAVE TO run new wires to the speakers. Depending on if you have on-star on whether you want to keep it or the factory warning chimes, there are a few ways to do it with an aftermarket amp. PAC audio has the interface you'll need.

Knowing that, the wires to the speakers are usually sub-par for most peoples standards for aftermarket speaker wiring... though it is possible to utilize them.
