Hello everyone, I am desperately seeking advice. We have a 04 Chevy Tahoe LT 5.3 L. Family loves this vehicle until yesterday. I started vehicle up and it puttered like it was cold. Thought it was strange, but took kids to school and noticed when I went from 20mph to 30mph it acted like it was cutting out. Again strange, called Hubby. He said go ahead and try to get to work, no lights, no engine noise, no warnings. So started to drive the 10 miles to work, got on highway was fine, then when got to 50mph was cutting out again until hit 60mph. Took to friend who owns small salvage yard and shop to put on their handheld machine. Code came up as Mass Air flow sensor and low voltage #5 or something like that. Bought $90 new part, hubby put on and drove 10 miles home just fine. This morning same issues, took back to friend. Now told possibly throttle body $200 part or sensor $100 part. Raising family of 5 can't afford to nickel and dime it. Any ideas?
No I didn't get codes written down. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can you get the code numbers? P0101 will be the mass air flow? What about the low voltage one. So it starts up cold and runs bad and does not get any better?

Update: Replaced Mass Air Flow Sensor, Throttle Body & positioning sensor, & spark plug wires. All brand new parts! Starts up runs rough until warm. Then cuts out a couple of times when driving. Codes as of this morning are PO101 & PO641. Gotta do research on that code. Any help is appreciated.

Hubby is going out to buy the MAP sensor today, then waiting for the new Harness to come in at the shop. Thanks. Fingers crossed this it.

Starting up and running rough before warm makes me think bad intake gaskets or vacuum leak.
