i know this has been touched on... but any definite way to do away with the chimes all together? for 03-06 not 00-02...
i put the factory non lux touch screen in today, works fine... but the chimes are deafening. they are on normal, not loud, and are unbearable.

calling dealer today to see if there is something they know to permanently delete it. or reduce it... just dont get it. but i have read this is somewhat of a common problem with owners who install factory nav systems... so far only read about trailblazers though...

just going to put a small toggle on the positive speaker wire and hide it out of sight... so i can cut the feed when i crank it up or plan to leave the door open...
