2004 tahoe rearend ?

Hi im new to this forum i recently bought a 99 yukon I didnt notice till after I bought the axles from the rearend are bent anyways I seen a 2004 rearend off a tahoe on cl for $300 bks my question is will that rearend fit on my 99 yukon 4x4 thanks

I believe the rear axle in your 99 Yukon is leaf sprung, correct? If so, the 2004 rear will require some modifications to fit. The 2004's are coil sprung. You'll probably have to move the shock mounts, and you'll have to get rid of all the brackets from the original coil suspension. Then you'll have to weld some spring pads and such.
